1.      Use of relevant keywords on web pages (page properties on Frontpage) helps visitors find the website through search engines.  Go to http://adwords.google.com and click on “Get Keyword ideas”

2.      Exchange links with other website owners by asking them to include on their website a link to your website while you do the same on your website

3.      Share your web address with friends, relatives, coworkers and other people you know

4.      Include signature (with your web address) on emails and other correspondences

5.      Print out business cards, postcards with your web address

6.      Find something interesting that your visitors would be interested in and update it on regular basis so that they keep coming back

7.      Write articles on topics of interest and post on article directories with links back to your website or blog

8.      Advertise through Google Adwords, Microsoft Adcenter and others with PPC (Pay-per-click).  Most hosting plans provide credits for adwords or adcenter that you can use as a first time customer.  Pay-per-click advertising however may turn to be expensive because of competition and especially if the clicks that you are paying for do not bring in any revenue to your side.
